What Could Be Better than a Hot Water Music Reunion?

How about Hot Water Music adding Lucero to the bill?

Well HWM have done just that, Lucero is playing the two of the Hot Water reunion shows. So far HWM have only announced four shows, but it is the worst kept secret that they will in fact be doing a full tour some time next spring. Hopefully that tour will have Lucero on it as well. In addition to Lucero, The Lawrence Arms, Static Radio NJ, HiFi Handgrenades, Able Baker, Samiam and Cutman are all playing at least one of the four shows announced so far.

If you know me you probably know Hot Water is one of my all time favorite bands. I think their record No Devision is one of the best post-hardcore/punk records ever recorded and a huge part of my personal musical education. I could not be more excited for this reunion. I knew it would come, but I am pleasantly surprised that their hiatus was so short.

Their song It's Hard to Know from that album has one of my favorite versus/chorus of any song, and is the perfect articulation of how I want to live my life.

It's hard to find your way through the darkness,
it's hard to know what to believe,
but if you live by your heart and value the love you find,
then you have all you need, to run.
Don't follow, lead a life the best we know.
